Election Aftermath

Democrats are throwing parties, Republicans are crawling away with their tails between their legs making excuse after excuse on what happened.  Everyone has a different take on "Why", but I heard someone (not sure who) on the radio sum up the whole situation very nicely.  They said, "When republicans begin acting like democrats they lose support.  When democrats begin acting like republicans they gain support.  "
What really disgusts me about the whole election was the democrats tactics.   Truthfully, I don't like the fact that they regained power in the congress.  This means that we will have 2 years of NOTHING getting done (except perhaps some imigration issues and the like.)  But more disturbing to me was how they manipulated the peoples votes.

For the last couple of months all you heard from the media, was how "values voters" were going to stay home.  That they had no chance of winning, and shouldn't bother to vote.   Bill Oreilly (on The Factor) Reported about a new study done that showed the bias of the media.  77 % of the news reports supported Democrats, and only 12% favored the Republicans.

The situation with Ted Haggard was bad and needed to come out.  He sinned and it should not be taken lightly, but I was listening to a news interview online that claimed the gay prostitute who tattled on Haggard   did so right before the election to help sway the vote.  All of the gay issues on the ballot, of course he does not want the evangelicals to vote!  These tactics are disgusting, and quite honestly they make me sick to my stomach.  I understand the politicians researching into the past of their opponent and trying to drudge up some dirt about their character.   But to blatantly lie about your opponent, to manipulate a group of people to NOT vote is wrong, and I don't care what side you are on.  Discouraging ANYONE from voting is WRONG!
